The thief, wearing a crash helmet, snatched the computer from the woman as she sat at a table in north London.
The victim was sitting at a table when a thief wearing a crash helmet walked into the business in front of stunned witnesses.
He snatched the laptop and ran outside, where an accomplice was waiting for him on a moped, which sped away.
CCTV footage was posted on Twitter by the owners of the Bread and Bean cafe in Archway, who called on London Mayor Sadiq Khan to tackle moped gangs by increasing police numbers.
“This needs to stop. We need more police,” a tweet from the business read.
The shocking robbery happened yesterday at the business in Junction Road.
It follows a spate of street robberies by criminals on mopeds over the past year, but these are rarely carried out inside.
No one at the cafe was available for comment when contacted by Mirror Online, but owner Valbona Sadiku told the Mail : “It’s unbelievable that these moped gangs will now actually enter peoples’ property, it’s gone to another level, it’s horrific.”
She said it was the second time the business had been targeted in three weeks.
A moped gang brazenly grabbed a laptop from a woman’s hand in a terrifying robbery inside a north London cafe.
